  1. I am SUCH a glutton for travel quotes, too. One of my favorites is “THE LIFE YOU HAVE LED DOESN’T NEED TO BE THE ONLY LIFE YOU HAVE.” – ANNA QUINDLEN which I have in the “About” section of my site. Thanks for posting — It was nice to go through your post, and one I will bookmark for inspiration when needed!

  2. Ah! If I read this blog every morning, I’ll be traveling everyday!
And I totally agree with Ibn Batuta. Traveling always leaves me speechless, but then I couldn’t stop telling everyone about it 🙂

    1. Haha! Yeah, or in my case, start a blog so my coworkers don’t have to hear me swooning over France AGAIN. 😀 Some of these quotes are the perfect kick in the butt to go and travel already!

  3. I am a big fan of quotes. They are just so instant and efficient inspirations. A proof how powerful words and travel experiences are. 🙂 keep motivated! I will look on this post every time pessimism attacks me. Haha.

    1. Thank you! There are some good ones on your post that I’d never heard before. I especially like the one from Eleanor Roosevelt.

    1. Yeah, I know what you mean. It’s gotten a little cheesy, but they’re a bit of a guilty pleasure. 😉

  4. I absolutely love: “Not all who wander are lost” & “Traveling – it leaves you speechless and then turns you into a story teller.” Thank you sharing these inspirational quotes – if you weren’t inspired to travel before reading this – you will be afterwards!

    Happy Travels 🙂

    1. Agreed, the “storyteller” quote is one of my absolute favorites. We could all use some inspiration now and then. Thanks for commenting!

  5. I am not a big fan of travel quotes, but I enjoyed reading this collection. Oscar Wilde is so humble 😉 and I totally agree with Gustave Flaubert. Also, I want to share my favorite too: “The world is a book, and those who do not travel read only one page.” – Saint Augustine.
